I have been stitching cute little things lately, as I am introducing my new designs for Le Tissu line in the shop.
Very colorful, lightweight, so pretty and great to wear on this season.
The bonus? I’m offering free worldwide shipping now for them.
Here are some of them:
Pop Flowers…
Mini paisley…
Paisley earrings…

I sold all pieces having my Ursa Major handmade and handpainted cabochons. I must say that I loved them a lot.
Each Ursa was made truly ooak, their price was very friendly, taking into account all the work that I did, but well, that’s a proof of love, I must say.
I’m happy they found each one an owner :)

I was able to keep this one for me:

I have a special connection with the Netherlands. Since I moved to Europe in 2000, for several reasons, I’ve always kept going there… I have so many, many stories involving myself and people in / from the Netherlands during the last ten years…
I love Dutch people, they’re so cool and friendly. The flat landscape is perfect for what I like doing the most outodoors: biking!
There’s green and water everywhere in the Netherlands. The country side is fantastic. Dutch are crazy about their gardens and they take lots of care of them.
Here’s a photo that I took two days ago of the sea at Scheveningen, near Den Haag.

Last weekend, my husband and I went to visit Thongbai Tatong’s warm and beautiful house in Ter Aar (not so far from Amsterdam). She and her husband are the sweetest hosts and made our stay in there perfect…

Thongbai Tatong is a very talented independent clothes designer based in the Netherlands… and hoping you know me, you may know that I am a huge fan of her work!
While visiting her, I had the honour to discover her atelier and play a little to create my own personalized ThongBai Tatong skirt (under her supervision of course! ;))

After selecting my favorite fabrics, we examined very well the pattern and style. Bai had to brief me before taking her magic scissors in my hands and using her wonderful sewing machine :)

Actually I needed to learn a special stitch with that machine…

But at the end and following Tongbai directions, I think I managed to do it right.
If you want to see the final result… I will show you some pictures on the 2nd part of this post ;)
Stay tuned…
Always inspired by delicious and sensual Art Nouveau shapes, colors and textures, I have to say that making these rings was pure luxury, in terms of time investment, I put high attention to hand painted details and played with colors and accents…
Joy…
Evolution…
See all of them on l’indicise’s Facebook album.

Yesterday I went to the inauguration of the collective artisanat contemporain exposition at la Ferme Sarasin du Grand Saconnex in Geneva.
My new Le Tissu collection is there, and I’m very happy to see and discover all the artist and their creations, we had a lovely evening, too bad those who could not come!
I worked a lot lately, and been honestly very busy… and sick :( so I had not time to publish more about the exposition before, but now here you have some cool shots that you can see on my flickr gallery:
The exposition will be open from 9 to 17 April 2011, at la Ferme Sarasin, Grand Saconnex, from 10h to 20h.
